The Banaras Hindu University (BHU) has released the Admission Notification for the Girls and Boys applicants in classes VI, IX and XI in the Central Hindu Girls’ School and Central Hindu Boys’ School. BHU BHU 6th-9th-11th Class Admission 2020 to CHGS & CHBS Schools in 6th/ 9th/ 11th Classes conducts the Common Entrance Test called SET which will be held shortly. The detailed Admissions Prospectus for Admissions to Class 6th/9th/11th through SET 2020 is likely to release as soon as possible by the Banaras Hindu University Admission Portal as stated heredown.

BHU 6/9/11 CHBS/ CHGS Admissions: The Online Applications for the School Entrance Test SET 2020 shall commence soon & can be filled Online at the BHU Online Admission portal link (As given below) upto. SET Entrance test for Admissions to External/ Internal students to the 6th/ 9th/ 11th Classes will conduct soon for candidates found Eligible for SET 2020. BHU SET Entrance Test 2020-21 Online Application Form

The BHU University shall invites very quickly the Applications at the Entrance Test Portal (bhuonline.in.) / Or BHU SET Admission Link. The entire process of making an Application for admission in Classes 6th/ 9th/ 11th during the academic session 2020-21 is ONLINE. The candidates desirous of admissions shall be required to register on the Entrance Test portal of BHU and fill up the application form ONLINE as per procedure provided on the Portal.

APPLICANTS MUST FULLY SATISFY THEMSELVES ABOUT THEIR ELIGIBILITY AS PRESCRIBED ABOVE, BEFORE FILLING IN THE APPLICATION FORM

Application/ Entrance Test Fee:

The Candidate shall pay the following Application Processing Fee/Entrance Test fee:

General RS 400/-

Fee Can be paid through Online mode through Credit/ Debit/ Cash/ Challan etc.

BHU Class 6th/ 9th/ 11th Admission Criteria: 2020

On the basis of the marks obtained in the SET 2020 Entrance Test. Merit List will be drawn for admission in each class and the candidates will be given a seat in the concerned class strictly on the basis of this merit.

In case of a tie the Banaras Hindu University Guidelines will be followed. For admission in class VI, IX and XI, the candidates will have to come for counselling and they will be offered seats in the class/ subject combination of their choice strictly according to their merit ranking so long as the seats remain available.

The candidates for admission in class XI will have to exercise their choice combination immediately on the day of counselling.

BHU Class 6th/ 9th/ 11th Admissions Eligibility Requirements: 2020

For class VI: 10 Years to 12 years age as on September 30, 2020 and passed class V examination from a school.

For class IX: 13 Years to 15 years age as on September 30, 2020 and passed class VIII examination from a school.

For class XI: 18 Years maximum age as on September 30, 2020 and passed class X examination from a recognized Board/University with the required percentage as under noted:

For external candidates (coming through SET):

1) Above 50% marks or equivalent grade in aggregate for admission in Science Stream. Above 50% marks or equivalent grade is essential in each, Science and Mathematics for admission to Science group.

2) Above 40% marks or equivalent grade in aggregate for commerce.

3) Class X passed for Arts stream

BHU Class 6/9/11 SET 2020 Result/ Seats Allotments

50% seats available for admission shall be provided to the sons and daughters of permanent employees of Banaras Hindu University subject to securing a minimum of 33% marks in the Entrance Test. If internal candidates are not available under 50% seats reserved for sons and daughters of the University Employees, then the vacant seats will be converted to General Category seats

Seat Reservation:

  • 15% seats are reserved for Scheduled Caste candidates. –
  • 5% seats are reserved for Scheduled Tribe candidates.
  • 3% seats are reserved for Physically Challenged (PC) candidates
General Admission Rules:
(Internal candidates appearing in examination of class X from CHBS and CHGS shall have the option to appear in SET as external candidates. They can avail both the facilities of external as well as internal candidates as per rule. To take admission as internal candidate (in class VI & XI for CHBS & CHGS) students will have to fill separate form).
  • The Test date and Venue details will be given on the Admit Card.
  • No candidate shall be allowed to appear in the Test without a valid Admit Card.
  • The candidate is required to retain the Admit Card in safe custody after the Test for presenting it before the Admission Committee, if called for counselling
BHU Class 6/9/11 SET 2020 Entrance Test Admit Cards:

The Admit Card will be e-mailed to the candidate at the email addresses provided by the candidate in the application form. Date of issuing of ONLINE Admit Card : till examination date. SMS alert regarding issue of Admit Card on the mobile phone registered by the candidate will also be sent
