DU Admissions 2020-21, Delhi University UG BA B.Sc B.Com Application Form | Fees | Cut Off List:

The University of Delhi (DU) is all set to issue the Admission notification 2020 for the Under Graduate courses. The admission procedure to the UG courses has been scheduled by the Admission Committee. University is invite the applications through ONLINE & OFFLINE both modes. Applications through ONLINE REGISTRATION mode are started as official announcement whereas through the OFFLINE mode applicants may submit their applications from till the last date at the specified centres. Admission committee has made a proposal for the Admission to the UG Courses for the session 2020-21, Candidates seeking admission in the Delhi University-UG Courses, have to make registration through Online or Offline.

The University of Delhi (DU) shall be provided the admissions in the various Under Graduate Courses comprised of the faculties Arts, Commerce, Science, along with Business, Technology (B.Tech IT), Education & Library etc. For Admissions in the UG (Arts, Commerce, Science). Courses session 2020, through the all University affiliated colleges admission committee has scheduled the Admission criteria & has dispatched the detailed notification.

Admission Criteria-

Eligibility-

Candidates have qualified the 10+2 (12th examination) OR equivalent from a Recognized board.

Rules-

  • As per the uniform additional criteria for admissions, candidates seeking admissions in language courses in the varsity colleges will be having an advantage of 2.5% in the best of four subjects’ aggregate, if they have studied the particular language as an elective subject
  • But if they have studied the particular language as a functional subject, they shall be in a disadvantage of 2.5% in the best of four subjects’ aggregate, as the case may be.

Candidates have to Scan Following Documents:

Applicants category certificate should be recognized by competent authority.

Candidates Should Possess OBC Certificate issued after 31st March 2020. DU will only ascertain only those categories which are listed in central list. Image Size should be 100-500 KB.

Economically backward students certificate should be attested by SDM and Certificate should be by issued after 31st March 2020. Certificate size will be 100-500 KB.

Candidates no need to apply separately for NCWEB 

The Board enables thousands of young women, who cannot join regular college for various reasons to attend classes during Saturdays/Sundays, academic breaks to obtain Undergraduate and Postgraduate Degree from the renowned University of Delhi. However, Non-Collegiate students are not allowed to pursue any other full-time course. Only Girls candidate can apply for NCWEB.

Online Registration Fees:

  • General/ OBC Candidates: Rs.250/-
  • SC/ ST/ PWD/ EWS: Rs.100/-
  • UG Entrance Exam (General/ OBC): Rs.750/-
  • UG Entrance Exam (SC/ ST/ PWD/ EWS): Rs.300/-
  • Sports Fees: Rs.100/-
  • ECA Fees: Rs.100/-

Admission and Document Verification Timing:

  • Morning Shift College: 9 AM to 1 PM.
  • Evening Shift College: 1 PM to 5 PM.

This time the application fee for admission to Delhi University will be expensive. State Board students will get admission in relief in academic session 2020-21 at the University of Delhi.

There shall not be an online admission test for UG level admission in Delhi University, But in the last year like this year, admission in some UG courses, PG, MPhil and PhD is being prepared for the online entrance examination. Examination centers will be set up in 18 cities of the country including Delhi-NCR. The third eye (CCTV room) will be kept in view to prevent the mess in the examination. At Delhi University (DU), there is currently no scheme for conducting entrance exam for admission in the graduate program. Universities will be organized only through cut off of admission for 2020 sessions. While pausing the ongoing discussions on entrance examination in DU, the Human Resource Development Minister said that the entrance examination will not be taken currently.

Admission to the academic session 2020 will start as official announcements in Delhi University. Application for admission to about 57 thousand seats of 84 undergraduate courses in total 61 colleges will be done online.  After completion of online UG admission registration process about 5 cut off will be issued. The first cut off will be released soon.

Note: With the online application filling, this time it is possible to cancel online application.  The student will have to take the print after canceling the online application. When the student will show it to the print college, the college manager will refund the certificates and fees to the student while canceling the admission

Candidates have to logging into the website www.du.ac.in for online registration.

Candidates have to pay the application fee of RS 100/-(GEN) through Online payment.

Offline Application forms will be obtained & submitted at the Centres allotted by the DU

(Centres Mainly at both the campuses).

Candidates have to pay the application form fee at the time of purchasing prospectus/ application form.

The University of Delhi announces the admission schedule of UG Ph.D., M.Phil., Postgraduate and Undergraduate Programmes for the academic session 2020-2021.  The eligible applicants are informed that the registration process of all the programmes will be completely online including Sports, Extra Curricular Activities (ECA), Kashmiri Migrants, CW (Defence), and PwD categories.  The details of registration process and subsequent procedure will be available in the Bulletin of Information, which will be uploaded online soon.  The schedule of online registration for admission to various programmes is as given below:

At the graduation level of the University of Delhi University, on taking admission in PCM, PCB, PCMB courses this time also, the theory practically will be run weight-age of 70-30 formula. The number of students coming from the CBSE board in DU is high. Therefore, the science course will be admission from this formula. In CBSE the theory is 70% and practical weight-age is 30%.

This year, it was argued that the preparation for this change was that, this will benefit the State Board. Actually, some states have a weightage of 60% of theory and 40% weight-age. Therefore, the board which will have 60-40 weightage will change the number of students of that board on the basis of 70-30 formula

Delhi University Admission Committee (DUAC)is all set to make a debut with hosting Delhi University Entrance Test (DUET) 2020 onwards for administering Admission into different Streams of the Under Graduate Courses (UGCs). The Admission Committee, University of Delhi, is also gearing up for ensuring that the Marks obtained by the Students at the Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination (10+2) under the Central Board of Secondary Education / Indian School Certificate Examination and other Boards are verified with the CD while filling in the Online Application Forms. Extra-Curricular-Activities (ECA) will also be offered a space in the Online Application Forms

The University of Delhi shall release Detailed Notification soon thereby initiating the Online Registration. The Admission Committee shall introduce Centralized Admission Form (CAF) for admission involving as many as 68 Colleges, which shall also participate in the both Entrance Test and Admission Process.

Procedure for Admission:

The National Informatics Center / National Information Center set to be a Nodal Agency on behalf of the University of Delhi, to host University of Delhi Entrance Test (UDET), shall draw up Category-wise Merit List based on the Candidates’ Marks at the Entrance Examination; hence, paving the way for the Entrance Test Based Merit List, thus, setting aside the Cut-off List for the first time. However, the Candidates belonging to the Reserved Community shall be allowed Relaxation in the Marks.
