Brief with reference to the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) Notification in respect of Direct Recruitment to the Post of Security Assistant (Executive) 2018 – 19 (1054 Vacancies) in the Subsidiary Intelligence Bureaux, the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA), Government of India (GoI) and including Release / Notice on Announcement of the Result of Tier – I Examination (100 Marks) (held on 17.02.2019) followed by Tier – II Written Examination (50 Marks) and Tier – III (50 Marks) leading to Preparation of the Final Merit List yielding Final Select List thereof Among Others:

The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) shall Likely Announce the Result for the Tier – I Objective Type Written Examination for 100 Marks. The Written Examination consisting of 04 Parts comprising 100 Marks involves Negative Marking followed by Descriptive Test consisting of 02 Parts for 50 Marks for Recruitment to the Post of Security Assistant in Information Bureaux, the Subsidiary Division of the Intelligence Bureau, Ministry of Home Affairs.

The Ministry of Home Affairs will upload in the Website the Result for the Objective Type Written Examination Tier – I.  The Ministry of Home Affairs, over and above publishing in the Website the Results for the Tier – I, would inform the Successful Candidates of Announcement through their respective Electronic Mails and Cellphone SMS Alert.

The Ministry of Home Affairs conducted on the 17th Date of February 2019  Tier – I aimed at Shortlisting the Candidates for Tier – II Descriptive Test (50 Marks – 40 + 10) followed by  Personal Interview / Personality Test Tier – III  (50 Marks) Aggregate 200 Marks Direct Recruitment to the Post of Security Assistant (Executive) (1054 Vacancies) in the following Subsidiary Intelligence Bureaux, the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA), Government of India (GoI) yielding Final Select List in order of Merit.

The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) is all set to release the Tier-1 IB Security Assistant examination results through the official website portal. When the results published on the website then you can download the results by entering required details on its official website. Those qualify in the Tier-1 exam will be called for next phase i.e Descriptive Test. The schedule of Tier-II exam si likely to display after publishing the results on its official website. IB Security Assistant – Tier – I Examination 2019

Objective Type (Tier – I) Examination carries 100 Marks with Negative Marking of ¼th (0.25) Mark for each Wrong Answer. No Marks would be awarded for any Un-Attempted Question in the Test Booklet Question Paper.

In order to achieve Qualitative Selection & Recruit the Best Available Talent, there would be Cut-off Marks (out of 100 Marks) in Tier – I Examination as hereunder:

Un-Reserved – 35 Marks,

Other Backward Classes – 34 Marks

Scheduled Caste / Scheduled Tribe – 33 Marks

(All Ex-Service-Man) would be treated under their respective Categories; viz., Un-Reserved / Other Backward Classes / Scheduled Caste / Scheduled Tribe)

However Cut-off for Tier – II & Tier – III Examination in Different Categories may go Higher Depending upon the Marks obtained by Candidates and number of the Vacancies. Similarly, the Criteria of 10 Times the number of the Vacancies may also remain restricted due to said Cut-off in Tier – I.

Tier-I with Examination Duration: 02-Hours Objective Type Written Examination comprising 100 Multiple Choice Questions of Objective Type, divided into 04 Parts, with 01 Mark each on:

a) General Awareness (40 Multiple Choice Questions of Objective Type)

b) Quantitative Aptitude (20 Multiple Choice Questions of Objective Type)

c) Logical / Analytical Ability (20 Multiple Choice Questions of Objective Type)

d) English Language (20 Multiple Choice Questions of Objective Type)

a) Translation of a Passage of 500 Words from Local Language / Dialect to English and vice versa

 Selection Criteria

Direct Recruitment to the Post of Security Assistant (Executive) (1054 Vacancies) in Security Assistant (Executive) in the Subsidiary Intelligence Bureaux (under General Central Service, (Group ‘C’) Non-Gazetted, Non-Ministerial),  the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA), Government of India (GoI) yielding Final Select List in order of Merit determined taking into consideration Tier – I, Tier – II, Tier – III.

Tier – II Examination will be of the Qualifying Nature. The Candidates would be required to obtain Minimum 20 / 50 Marks so that their Marks in Tier – III could be taken into account for Preparing Final Merit List on the basis of Combined Performance in Tier – I & Tier – III Examinations. The Cut-off in Tier-II is the same for the Candidates of all Categories. There is No Cut-off for Tier – III Examination.
